Welcome to Gregory Phillips as New Chairperson

March 7, 2018

We are thrilled to announce the appointment of Gregory Phillips as the new Chair of the Cathy Freeman Foundation. Gregory is from the Waanyi and Jaru Aboriginal Australian peoples, and comes from Cloncurry and Mount Isa.

Gregory is a leading change maker, thought leader and medical anthropologist. He has lived, worked and studied with Indigenous peoples globally for the last 25 years. Gregory's unique ability is to facilitate thought-provoking meetings and workshops where participants learn to respectfully apply Aboriginal values and knowledge in community, business, and government settings.

Welcoming Gregory to his new role, Co-Founder and Director of the Foundation, Cathy Freeman said, “Put simply, Gregory Phillips is the future and that’s why he is the Cathy Freeman Foundation Chairperson.”
